Our first mayathon marathon took place from 1 to 26 May. Over 3,000 people took part and more than 30,000 activities were logged.
Being active for 26 consecutive days is quite hard, but we saw an amazing 37% of people manage all 26 days with 54% doing at least 20 out of 26 days.
Of course mayathon isn’t just about being healthier, it’s about being happier too, so it was great to see that people’s mood levels increased by an average of 25% after they’d done their daily activity.
And mayathoners who were buddied-up with a friend managed to complete on average, 38% more days than those without a buddy – definite proof of buddy power!

Our next mayathon marathon will be in October 2020 and we’ll have made some big improvements to the app by then as well.
We’re also looking ahead to 2021 when mayathoners will be able to have more than one buddy and start their own personal challenges whenever they want.
